It's expensive. VERY VERY expensive! I've always heard that it's cheap since the casinos make so much with the gambling. I won't even start to talk about amounts, but let me assure you that the thought will make me sick for a good while.

On another note, don't fly America West unless you don't mind getting bumped and receiving vouchers. On Thursday they made me miss my connecting flight. They moved me to another carrier where they botched that, leaving me stuck on standby. To top all of this, they over booked on Sunday night. I got bumped and had to fly out the NEXT DAY! Sure I got a free hotel room, upgraded to first class, and a check for $400, but WTF? I paid/reserved a ticket ahead of time to guarantee I'd get home on a specific night.

I must say, I'm rather surprised by the results of their recent hardware/software -survey-. It brings me to tears to think so many gamers have such crappy hardware. I feel for you guys. And to think, this survey will be used to tune HL2.

Robert Cringely, once again, -stumbles- onto what many have been missing in this whole outsourcing argument. After all, outsourcing is only an issue because of the economy. None of us would care if all still had jobs. His points only make too much sense. Now we just need to bash it into the heads of the VCs.

All I can say is FINALLY! I've been looking at printers for recordable media for a while now. If only I didn't have to manually flip the DVD/CD in one of -these- bad boys.

I've been stuck in Canada for over a week without a car. By the time I get home, I'll have been here for two weeks without a car. It's cold here and there is nothing within walking distance. Let's not mention the whole "I'm bored out of my skull thing". Canada has sucky cable. At least my company is covering the bill and I have free broadband in my room, heehee.

I got my new Radeon 9600XT 128MB today. This card made by Sapphire Technology goes for only $158 on New Egg. Finally I can play games at the highest settings. God it's beautiful! It makes me want to cry.

Marry Christmas/New-Years/Etc (I know it's late). I've had a blast between hanging in Arizona for a week with the GF's family, or partying with old friends for new years. Still, it's nice to be home in my own bed again. Ah, now I have to find a resolution for the new year. Maybe doing laundry more often then once a month would be a good start.
